On Wednesday July 26th the Quebec Court of Appeal upheld an injunction issued by a lower court forbidding Chantal Daigle from having an abortion. Her lawyer, Daniel Bedard, argued that Parliament, and not the courts, should be dealing with the abortion issue. (The Supreme Court struck down the Quebec Court of Appeal ruling on August 8. But by that time Dalgle had been to Boston and had an abortion.)
