Peschisolido said a deciding factor in his decision to defect was an incident involving a Saskatchewan MP. Roy Bailey sparked a storm when he said Veterans Affairs Minister Rey Pagtakhan was a bad choice because of his Asiatic background. Day accused Peschisolido of betrayal.
