One of the last people to see three Israeli men alive before they sailed their yacht into hurricane Fabian said he pleaded with them to stay in Halifax. The Pacific Attitude sank south of the Grand Banks while on its way to Europe -- and eventually Israel. New Hampshire-based merchant marine captain Kevin Harbison made the trip to Nova Scotia, but retuned home days before the September 8th sinking. Harbison told the captain the boat couldn't handle the storm. Harbison said he was floored when the US Coast Guard informed him the boat's emergency beacon had gone off.
