The federal government backed down on its plan to de-index old-age pensions after a month of public protests, many on Parliament Hill. During one of those protests Solange Denis lectured Prime Minister Mulroney. She said she voted for Mulroney in 1984, but during the next election, it would be "Good Bye Charlie Brown."
