Former hockey coach Graham James was granted day parole. He had served 20 months of a three-and-a-half year sentence for sexually molesting young players under his care. James told the parole board he was sorry he had "inappropriate relationships" with his players who were not homosexual and were too young to consent to sex. Sheldon Kennedy, his most famous victim, sat in on the hearing, although he wasn't allowed to speak. Kennedy said he was disappointed because James hadn't acknowledged that he is a pedophile.
