Major Dave Kendall and his partner Captain Steve Hill attacked an Iraqi patrol boat in the gulf in late January. The boat was hit but did not sink. They last spotted it zig-zagging back to Iraq. Kendall described what he could see from the cockpit of his CF-18. It was the first hostile shot fired by the Canadian military since the Korean War.
