Canadian-born magician Doug Henning died on Feb. 7 at the age of 52 after a five-month battle with liver cancer. Henning lived in the Los Angeles-area but was born in Winnipeg and attended McMaster University in Hamilton. Phil Willmarth, the editor of the magic publication "The Linking Ring," said Henning brought magic into the modern world.
