A suicide attack on UN headquarters in Baghdad claimed the lives of 20 people, including two Canadians. Christopher Klein-Beekman, who was working for UNICEF, was one of the Canadian victims. Mike Klein-Beekman, his brother, said while the family always knew it was a dangerous place to be, their fears were tempered because he was there on behalf of Iraqi children. (Gillian M. Clark of Toronto, who worked for the Christian Children's Fund of America, was also killed.)
