On January 31st, a Scottish court convicted a Libyan intelligence officer of murder in the 1988 bombing of Pan Am Flight 103. But the judges acquitted the second accused. The December, 1988 bombing killed 270 people -- including two Ontario residents. Mike Freeman, of Dundas, Ontario lost his brother Paul. He said the verdict brought some closure. (The verdicts climaxed a 12-year murder investigation and a trial which cost more than 100 million dollars.)
