The Department of Fisheries and Oceans confirmed its officers heard two gunshots as it was attempting to shut down a protest lobster fishery near the Burnt Church First Nation in New Brunswick on Sept. 25. Fisheries spokesman Bob Allain said officers were careful when seizing lobster fishing traps close to shore.
