An explosion and fire at the Neptune Technologies and Bioresources plant in Sherbrooke, Quebec killed two people and sent 19 others to hospital. A third person died in hospital two days after the blast. Sherbrooke police spokesman Martin Carrier said more than a hundred people phoned 911 within a minute of the November 8th blast. (Several hours later, an explosion rocked a plant in the same region belonging to Bombardier Recreational Products. The blast left two people with serious burn. One later died of his injuries in hospital.)
