Paul Watson of the Toronto Star received the Pulitzer Prize for spot news photography. He was selected for his photo of an American soldier's body being dragged through the streets of Mogadishu, Somalia. Watson and his two bodyguards came across the scene in the hours after an intense UN attack on the city. Watson insisted on going back and taking another photograph of the body -- that was the one that ended up winning a Pulitzer prize.
