About 800 people -- many of them health-care workers -- packed a Toronto church for July 4th's funeral of Nelia Laroza, the first nurse to die from SARS. Nurses, firefighters and paramedics formed an honor guard for Laroza, while other nurses wearing black arm bands saluted as her coffin was taken into St. Michael's Cathedral. Laroza's sister, Hazel Corda, broke down as she the told the mourners about the huge hole in her family left by Nelia's death.
