Doctor Murray McQuigge was quick to point fingers and bristled at any suggestion that he should have done more in dealing with Walkerton's E-coli crisis. At the Walkerton inquiry January 8th, he attacked the Ontario town's mayor for failing to declare a state of emergency. But McQuigge became irritated when asked if he should have suggested the idea to Mayor David Thomson. (McQuigge also defended how his unit looked into the illnesses.)
